At first, people's reactions simply passed by like a whisper at the end of a word. I didn't know what the expressions on their faces spoke of, or what traces of their hearts the tension in their fingertips revealed. But as my practice deepened, those tiny traces began to catch my eye. Like starlight slowly rising in the darkness, the inner radiance of people's lives secretly shone forth, spilling outward.
Before, it was a theory I'd only known from books. The idea that a person's mind is projected externally was an abstract concept to me. But now, it's different. In every moment of conversation, I see the other person's heart flowing out like a wave. The fear hidden in a subtle smile, the longing hidden behind a suppressed voice, the hope sparkling in a fleeting glance. It was a truth that needed no further explanation. I simply saw it with my eyes and felt it with my heart.
This isn't a skill. It's more of a transformation, an act of awakening. Before, I was always anxious around people. Their reactions felt like a sharp blade judging me, and I tried to avoid it, shackling myself to it. But now, things are different. When I look at people, I no longer see a threat in them. Instead, when their inner selves unfold before me, I take a step closer and gain the freedom to see both their light and their darkness.
This space is like a small garden sprouting within me. The garden isn't large yet. But within it resides an emptiness, a place where fear has been banished, and a compassion that blows like a warm breeze. I sit in this garden and watch people. And I realize: people's hearts, though seemingly different, are essentially rivers flowing from the same stream.
As my fears faded, I was finally able to join them. In that moment, I vaguely sensed my mission. It wasn't something grand. Rather, it was quite simple. To face, not avoid, the moment when people's hearts are revealed to me. To see my own heart reflected in their eyes, and to discover the resonance within me in their words. This is why I walk this path, and this is the step I will take going forward.
I am now prepared. I haven't gained any great power. But I have gained eyes to see small miracles. Even the silence in conversation resonates with meaning, and that resonance spreads like ripples from deep within my heart. This is the foundation of where I stand, the mission I must fulfill.
Whatever the path ahead may hold, I will stand steadfast on it. Whenever people respond to me, I will accept it with understanding, not fear, and respect, not defensiveness. And one day, these small understandings will converge to form a greater flow. That is my mission in this world, and the harmony of the divinity blossoming within me.
The Inner Self Revealed in Conversation
At first, people's reactions merely brushed past me like air lingering at the end of words. I didn't know what the expressions emerging on their faces meant, or what traces of the heart the tension dwelling in their fingertips revealed. However, as my practice deepened, these small traces began to enter my vision. Like starlight gradually emerging in the darkness, people's inner selves secretly shone and flowed outward.
Until then, it had been merely theory known only from books. The idea that the human mind projects outward was nothing more than an abstract concept to me. But now it's different. In every moment of conversation, I see how the other person's heart flows out like waves. Fear hidden within a subtle smile, longing concealed behind a suppressed voice, hope spreading through a passing glance. It was no longer the truth that needed explanation. I simply saw it with my eyes and felt it with my heart.
This is not an ability. Rather, it's closer to a transformation, or an act of opening one's eyes. The former me always trembled with anxiety before people. Their reactions felt like blades evaluating me, and I bound myself trying to avoid them. But now it's different. When I look at people, I no longer seek threats within them. Rather, when their inner selves unfold before me, I've gained the composition to step closer and gaze together at both their light and darkness.
This composition is like a small garden that has sprouted within me. The garden is not yet vast. However, within it dwells the empty space left by banished fear and compassion that blows like a warm wind. I sit in this garden and observe people. And I realize that while people's hearts appear different on the surface, they are essentially streams flowing from the same source.
When fear disappeared, I finally became able to be with them. In that moment, I dimly sensed my mission. It's not something grandiose. Rather, it's quite simple. When people's hearts are revealed before me, to face that moment completely without avoidance. To reflect on my own heart through their eyes, and to discover the resonance within me from the endings of their words. This is why I walk this path and the steps I will take forward.
I am now prepared. I haven't gained enormous power. But I've acquired eyes that can see small miracles. Even the silence within conversation approaches as meaningful resonance, and that resonance spreads like ripples from deep within my heart. That is precisely where I stand, the foundation of the mission I must practice.
Whatever shape the path ahead may take, I will stand unshaken upon it. Whenever people's reactions come to me, I will receive them not with fear but with understanding, not with defense but with respect. And someday, these small understandings will gather to create a greater flow. That will be the duty I've been given in this world and the sacred harmony blooming within me.
