My connection with my true self through meditation - The meaning of the light that colors the city

Today's meditation drew me in from the very beginning with a strange yet new energy. I began in a familiar sitting position, regulating my breathing, but soon, at the call of an unknown voice, I stood. My hands clasped together felt like hands held by my inner essence and subject, and my gaze extending out the window wasn't simply gazing at the scenery outside, but rather a journey along a deep inner forest path. The wind and light streaming through the window seemed both the reality surrounding me and an intangible symbol. At that moment, I asked my essence, "What do you want?" But no clear answer came. Instead, in the knots of my heart that were now faintly visible, I saw the assumptions that had long bound me. What I had taken for granted, what I believed defined me, peeled away like a layer of skin, exposing the ground beneath. It felt both subtle and distinct, like a single leaf falling away, or like an old shadow fading under the moonlight.
I asked again, "Who is the right match for me?" A face emerged from the depths of my mind. Someone I longed for a deep connection with, yet couldn't yet approach. I called out the name in my mind, but my voice was lost, like a whisper in the wind. The entity silently reflected back to me, whispering that I still lacked courage and confidence. Yet, at the same time, imagining myself walking with that person, I could feel a new determination welling up deep within me. Like a fragrance secretly emanating from an unopened flower bud, ready to bloom, possibility lived clearly in the silence.
Then a light descended. It wasn't a visible light, but a higher light, flowing through my heart. I shared it with the faces that emerged. Some were close, some slumbering in ancient memories, and others whose names I still couldn't even name. But the light permeated me without discrimination. It created a transparent yet powerful connection, like an invisible thread connecting me to them all.
And then an unexpected scene unfolded. It was a scene I had never imagined in my work. The entire city was bathed in light. Every building, every road, every tree, every footstep, every glance, was bathed in light. At first, it seemed like a hallucination, but gradually, the sight felt like a response. "Your actions will send ripples throughout this city," a voice resonated within me. At that moment, I knew this experience wasn't just a fantasy, but a harbinger of the synchronicity to come.
Synchronicity always approaches quietly. At unexpected moments, seemingly unrelated events intertwine to create a meaningful scene. I felt like I was standing on that threshold. The subject and the subject, breathing side by side in the light, awaited the inevitable coincidence that was to come.
But I was still far from surrendering to complete bliss. The emotions flowed smoothly, like an unfinished curve, yet there remained a part I couldn't quite reach. Yet, even that held meaning. As if sensing the vibrations of a distant wave, I began to sense the outlines of bliss. It was still incomplete, but it was a preparatory resonance, a harbinger of the fullness to come.
Today's meditation, therefore, became less about finding a single answer and more about sensing the subtle movements surrounding that answer. I asked questions, but no clear answers emerged. Instead, my inner assumptions and presuppositions gradually crumbled, and light poured into the debris. My yearning for connection remained an unfinished courage, but that yearning soon sparked a new resolve. And the image of the entire city bathing in color was a symbol showing that my life transcended the personal level and functioned within a larger flow.
I record today's experience, engraving it in my heart. In the connections that arose during meditation, the light I shared with them, and the images of the entire city bathing in color, I sensed a harbinger of the coming synchronicity. It was news of a future yet to come, yet at the same time, a resonance already stirring within me.
