Long ago, I followed my dream teacher and entered the world of dance. Being able to learn dance as his disciple seemed like the most dazzling opportunity I'd ever been given. Just imagining myself growing, learning every movement of the expert's movements right next to me, filled my heart with excitement.
But as time passed, my stage became less onstage and more backstage. At first, I considered the difficult work part of the learning process. But with the endless administrative tasks, member management, and even the personal schedules of the instructors, I was no longer a dancer, but the invisible hand that made it all possible. The promised learning time was pushed aside by other members, and I was always forced to move silently in the corner of the studio, cautious and cautious. Dancing, which should have been a way to freely express myself under the ardent gaze of others, became a timid gesture in a cold corner.
The most miserable thing was that I was building my teacher's success with my own hands. Many classes were opened that I wouldn't have even dreamed of without, and in the past year, my teacher earned more in tuition than he had in the past ten years. In the shadow of that dazzling success, all I had was an allowance, barely enough for living expenses. That money, supposedly a token of gratitude, felt like a mockery of my sweat, effort, and the value of my lost dreams.
Now, when I stand in front of the mirror, I don't see myself dancing, but rather a foolish me, berating myself, wondering, "Why am I here, being treated like this?" Several times a day, the thought of abandoning everything and leaving this place, this country, wells up in my throat. Of course, I know in my head that running away won't make this problem go away.
But my heart is lost. How can I regain my composure amidst such deep self-loathing? Is it right to give up on my dream here? I no longer have the strength to move forward.

A Customized EFT Session Manual for You
This manual is designed to help you delicately navigate the complex emotions you're currently experiencing. Please take a moment in a comfortable space and follow the steps below, step by step.

Step 1: Identify the core problem and measure the pain index (0-10).

Before beginning EFT, focus on the emotion or physical sensation that is most uncomfortable to you and rate its intensity.
"Deep disappointment and frustration at a reality that differs from expectations" (Current distress index: __/10)
"The feeling of intimidation and discouragement of having to dance in a corner, watching the teacher and other members." (Current pain index: __/10)
"The resentment of not being fairly compensated for my efforts and achievements" (Current pain index: __/10)
"I feel so ashamed and self-criticize for enduring this situation." (Current pain index: __/10)
"The feeling of escapism and despair, of wanting to abandon everything and leave Korea" (Current pain index: __/10)
It is effective to start with the problem with the highest pain index.

Step 2: Confirming the Setup

Choose a setting affirmation sentence for the issue you most want to address and repeat it three times while lightly tapping the point of your hand (karate blade).
(On feelings of discouragement and disappointment) Although I had expected to learn to dance from a professional, I am now deeply disappointed and discouraged to find myself practicing in a corner, timid and wary of others. Nevertheless, I truly accept myself from the bottom of my heart.
(About resentment and anger) Although my efforts have brought the teacher great profits, I feel so resentful and angry that I am not receiving fair compensation and am treated like pocket money, but I sincerely accept it deep in my heart.
(On self-loathing and self-blame) Although I feel foolish and pathetic for continuing to tolerate this unfair situation and feel a deep sense of self-loathing, I fully accept and love myself for feeling these emotions.
(On feeling hopeless and running away) Even though this whole situation is so difficult that I feel hopeless and exhausted to the point where I want to just throw everything away and leave Korea, I still accept myself deeply and wholeheartedly.

Step 3: Custom Tapping Script (Continuous Tapping)

Using the tapping script associated with the problem selected above, tap the eight points in sequence. For each tap, say the "reminder phrase" below aloud.
Session 1: Dealing with "Feelings of Intimidation and Afraid"
Affirmation: Although I had expected to learn to dance from a professional, I'm now deeply disappointed and discouraged to find myself practicing in a corner, timid and wary of others. Nevertheless, I deeply and wholeheartedly accept myself. (Tap your palms and repeat three times)
Continuous tapping (reminder phrase: "This feeling of discouragement and disappointment")
(Eyebrow) My dancing in the corner
(Eyes) The teacher and members' eyes
(Under the eyes) This feeling of timidity that makes my body stiffen
(Under the nose) I can't express it well

Session 2: Addressing the "Injustice of Unfair Compensation"
Affirmation: Although my efforts have brought my teacher significant profits, I feel so wronged that I'm not receiving a fair reward and am treated like pocket money. However, I deeply and wholeheartedly accept myself. (Tap your palms and repeat three times.)
Continuous tapping (reminder phrase: "This injustice and anger")
(Eyebrow) This unjust price
(Eyes) The tuition I earned
(Under the eyes) An occasional allowance?
(Under the nose) The value of my labor
(Chin) This deep resentment
(Clavicle) If it weren't for me, I wouldn't have been able to take the class.
(Under the armpit) The more I think about it, the more anger rises
(Jeong Su-ri) This is an unfair situation
Session 3: Dealing with the "Idiot Feeling"
Affirmation: Although I feel foolish and pathetic for continuing to tolerate this unfair situation, and I feel a deep sense of guilt, I fully accept myself for feeling these emotions. (Tap your palms and repeat three times)
Continuous tapping (reminder phrase: "This deep sense of self-loathing")
(Eyebrow) I feel stupid
(Eyes) Why are you here like this?
(Under the eyes) This feeling of being used
(Under the nose) I feel pathetic
(Chin) This deep sense of self-loathing
(Clavicle) I could have made a better choice.
(Under the armpit) Blaming myself
(Jeongsuri) I'm not stupid
At the end of each session, take a deep breath and note how your pain index has changed. Repeat tapping with phrases like "This remaining resentment" or "This remaining self-loathing" until your index drops below 2, or until the emotion no longer feels uncomfortable.

Step 4: Switch to Positive Affirmations (Choice Affirmations)

Once the intensity of your negative emotions has sufficiently decreased, it's time to plant new, positive choices in their place.
Affirmation of Setting (repeat 3 times while tapping your palms): Although I still have mixed feelings about this situation, I now acknowledge my worth and accept that I have the power within me to choose the best path for myself.
Continuous tapping (recalling positive choices)
(Eyebrow) I acknowledge my own efforts and achievements.
(Eyes) I deserve respect in any situation.
(Under the eyes) I clear the fog of emotion and look clearly.
(Under the nose) I can make wise decisions for myself.
(Chin) I choose not to be intimidated any longer.
(Clavicle) I know the value of my time and talent.
(Under the armpit) I take control of my future.
(Jeongsuri) I believe in inner strength and wisdom.
